Athletics


Skatin Community School has a full-size gymnasium with bleachers and scoreboard, and   - a fully equipped with sports equipment. It is available for open sport activities, organized or just drop in. There is a sports field on the grounds of the school which is fenced for safety.  

​The gymnasium is available for the school and community for organized or just a drop in sports activities such as:

Indoor or Outdoor Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, and Floor Hockey

Hand Drumming & Singing

The Language & Culture Teacher will be hosting drumming, dancing and singing pow-wow style and Saqauta. She will host hobbies varying from beading, cedar crafts, sewing, walking and spending time with elders. She will be attending all community functions.

Outdoor Activities

 

 SCS Students and Staff based out of Skatin Nation serving the Province of BC Canada. Will teach and share with the world our traditional territories and culture and history of the Sta’atl’imx people.

 

SCS will offer a true escape with our experience in our territories; Traditional and Cultural site Viewing and Adventure Tours from Lillooet Lake in the In-SHUCK-ch Valley in our territories. One of the most remote and breath taking places found on Earth. Our locally born Student & Staff have the experience working and traveling within the Coast mountain lakes of our territories.

SCS is situated 48 kilometers south of Mount Currie. It is 2hours north on Highway 99 (Sea to Sky Hwy) to Pemberton and 6 kilometers south to Mount Currie. Then gravel roads drive 48 kilometers south on the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service Road.
