Skatin is known world wide for the Hot Springs (T'SEK) 2 KMS North from Skatin Community.
Skatin has a historical monument, located in the lower community. The Church of the Holy Cross, Also known world wide.
The Community of Skatin is located on the Lillooet River at the 19 Mile Post of the former Harrison-Lillooet wagon road, 35 kilometres north of Harrison Lake. Gold-seeking prospectors once traversed Skatin territory along the path now known as the Harrison-Goldrush Heritage Trail. Skatin is also known as Skookumchuck, so named for the Skookumchuck Rapids, created by a waterfall just upriver from the Village.
