WELCOME TO SCS

Description: Skatin Community  School opened in 2004. It is “green” designed and constructed; situated in Skatin Village, British Columbia and governed and operated by the Skatin Nation. Skatin Community  School is accountable to the Community of Skatin for quality education and sound fiscal management.

Facilities include: classrooms, a library and computer lab; satellite internet and telephone service - a full-size gymnasium with bleachers and scoreboard, and   - a fully equipped commercial kitchen; with dishes, tables, chairs for meetings and events.

Education Programs: Skatin Community  School currently provides a K-9 curriculum (kindergarten to Grade 9) in its regular program; and is in process of certification for Grades 10-12. It offers adult education courses, vocational and trades programs and a variety of cultural and special interest programs, according to the wishes and needs of the community and region.

Skatin Community School: 

We appreciate the assistance from all of the SCS staff for their help at distributing croceries and school work to the students through out neibouring communites, of tipella and Skatin.
